3 Ways to Wear: H&M Trumpet Sleeve Blouse

It's the eternal fashion blogger dilemma: Do I continuously engorge my ever-growing closet with new, trendy pieces or do I sacrifice the ability to create a variety of new and exciting outfits? Sometimes, the two aren't mutually exclusive. Case in point:

This blouse from H&M with gorgeous pleated trumpet sleeves has taken the blogger/Instagram world by storm. It's harder to count the people who I haven't seen it on. And who can blame them? The versatility of this top, even with its gorgeous detailing, is almost infinite. It didn't take long for me to come up with three very different outfits featuring this beauty. And more ideas are constantly churning through my head. This top lends itself to the creative process. Seriously, this blog post is like an ode to this blouse... it's almost weird.

Outfit One: Victorian-Era Librarian Vibes

In Winter, I opted to go for a bit more of a covered up style, choosing to reveal only the delicate sleeves and collar from behind a cropped thick-knit sweater.

The flare of the sleeves were reflected by the flared trouser bottoms for a bit of fun, but generally it was a great way to dress "down" the top.

Outfit Two: The Long and Short of It

This outfit was a play on lengths, with the shortness of the romper and the length of the boots playing contrast to the demure blouse. I had a lot of fun with this outfit, and loved the desaturated color scheme along with the different combination of textures. The layering meant that I was perfectly warm for winter as well (which, in Houston, was like 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit).

Outfit Three: Spring Clean

I added a few more pops of color for this ensemble, and spruced up the whiteness of the top with a dusty pink bralette that I've been in love with. The silver pleats of the skirt match the pleats of the sleeves really well, and I liked the pops of nude and dusty pink that make the outfit just a bit more Spring-y, but ultimately still neutral.
